We will end our weekend celebration with service on Sunday at Union Zion Baptist Church, Ware Neck VA for their Homecoming service.

Family members young and young at heart are invited to join us in Williamsburg Friday, August 17th at Busch Gardens Williamsburg Amusement Park.

Family Garden

The theme for our Family reunion is a Family Garden....where you plant seeds of faith, hope and love! We are looking forward to seeing each of you in August. Now that we have located our family reunion dinner venue we can began planning the actual event. We need volunteers to be on the program (more info to come), to help at registration, help set up before everyone arrives, etc. We are also looking for photos or memorabilia that belonged to the siblings of Julia Grimes and or Peter and Hallie Gayle that can be displayed the evening of the dinner.

Gayle Family Reunion

The Gayle Family Reunion of 2012 has finally been set.  It will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 2 PM to 6 PM at the Crowne Plaza Williamsburg.  Address 6945 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg 23185, Telephone 757-220-2250. The cost of the event is $40.00 per person. Kids 3 and under are free. T-shirts are $15.00 each. An initial deposit of $10.00 per person is due by March 20th, second payment of $20.00 is due by May 28th and final payment of $10.00 is due June 25th. You may elect to send a complete payment by May 28th. These funds will cover the use of the facility, food, service and a gift for the honoree.

T-shirts for the event are being purchased separately at a cost of $15.00 per person. In order to keep the cost down we need close to 100 percent participation as we can possibly get! We are looking into the cost of caps, further info will be available in our next correspondence. Tuesday July 31st is the deadline for ordering t-shirts. Orders must be paid for in advance and will be given out at registration the day of the event.

This event is to get to know our family and honor our aunt Julia Gayle Grimes, the last surviving child of Peter and Hallie Gayle.   

You should be receiving additional information, including how to register, whom to make payments out to, how to order t-shirts, more complete details of the weekend and info on hotel accommodations in Gloucester from the Team Captains this week.
